Learn Octane Render
Octane is a premier GPU rendering tool used by artists all over the world. It has one of the largest support communities and is widely used by 3d artists. Octane will dramatically speed up your workflow and increase the visual quality of your work.
Project based learning
We provide the 3d models, shaders and textures, you follow along. We want you to get up to speed on this workflow as simply as possible so you can unlock the power of this tool in your own work. Learn by doing as you follow along with Jesus’s training.
Texture & Shader pack
This workshop comes with a series of original textures and shaders so you can hit the ground running. Jesus pulls from his personal library of assets and provides 4K textures you can use in your own productions. High quality textures are a must have for any 3d artist.
3D artist & motion designer
Inspired by a sense of wonder and nostalgia, his career began as a freelance artist for a variety of companies and brands around the globe. His success as a storyteller led him to produce six animated short films that each garnered a Vimeo Staff Pick. His creative process focuses on the art of 2D Animation and character-driven narrative. With work spanning across a broad range of artistic fields, from TV to Film Titles, Short Films, and Commercials.

Sneak peek of the course
This workshop is all about learning Octane Render and the process of creating photo real renders. Artist, Jesus Suarez walks through this process in a series of training videos, while providing you 3d models, custom textures and shaders.
What you'll learn from this workshop
This workshop will focus on the process of using Octane Render to create photoreal renders.
Understanding how to use this powerful tool is a great way to increase the quality of your 3d work and the speed of your workflow.
Section 1 : Octane Basics
Get your bearings with an overview of lights, cameras and node based shaders. This introduction to Octane is designed for new users who want to understand how this tool works and what it can do. Using a series of examples, with files provided so you can follow along, Jesus will get you up to speed on the basics of Octane Render.
Section 2 : Photo-Realism
Knowing the basics of Octane is important, but it’s only step 1. The next step is understanding why photo-real renders look they way they do. Jesus will break down example images and discuss what elements are needed to make your renders more convincing.
Section 3 : Scene Building
Now that you have the basics of Octane Render, as well as an artistic foundation in photo-realism, it’s time to build a scene so you can practice. We’re providing the models and textures so you can follow along and customize the scene how you see fit. This is dedicated to getting your hands dirty so you can master the process.
Section 4 : Shaders & Rendering
The node based, shader system is powerful. In this section Jesus will walk through more nodes so you can see examples of mixing textures, interacting with the mograph module and pushing your renders for a composite. This is designed to give you a deeper understanding so it applies to more of your own projects.
Section 5 : Resources
To finish this workshop Jesus is going to point you towards additional resources and tools that can help your work improve. This conclusion will line up with everything you just learned but give you insight on how to keep getting better.
