Cinema 4D Launch
Our Starter Guide To Cinema 4D
Course Format: On-Demand Training
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Software: Cinema 4D
Duration: 58 Lessons
Assignment: Multiple exercises
Prerequisite: None
For Beginners
This guide will help you get up and running fast. We’ll walk through the interface, creating objects, and rendering your first animations. You will learn to use Cinema 4D to create simple scenes and animations. A great introductory course for those who are new-ish to Cinema 4D.
Massive Training Library
This is one of our longest courses. We threw the kitchen sink at this one so you can kickstart your 3D work. Cinema 4D is such a valuable tool for motion designers and in this course we’ll cover everything you need to know to get going. Unlock your creativity with Cinema 4D.
Learn The Pipeline
We cover everything from the viewport navigation down to render settings, but do so in a digestible way. Lots of short projects is the best way to learn an app like Cinema 4D. For Motion Designers, this app can become an essential tool for design and animation. Learn the entire pipeline in this course.
Included in this course
What you'll learn
Learn the pipeline from polygons to pixels and use C4D in your productions right away. Get support and feedback while you learn.
Navigating The Interface
You will learn how to navigate the C4D interface. We’ll walk through the various working modes and display options that make up the core experience of using Cinema 4D.
Creating & Tweaking Objects
We’ll quickly advanced to creating and adjusting objects. Using the parametric objects in Cinema 4D can provide a powerful foundation for more complex models and scenes.
Materials & Rendering
Create your own original shaders and understand how materials work. Learn the various inputs that make up a material such as; color, diffusion, luminance, bump, normal, and displacement. Learn how to set-up renders using the Standard Renderer inside Cinema 4D.
Lighting & Global Illumination
Using the Standard Renderer can produce realistic looking results with the Global Illumination effect inside Cinema 4D. We’ll walk through using GI (Global Illumination) and lighting scenes to create a beautiful look.
Deformers
Learn to manipulate geometry using Cinema 4D’s built in deformers. This tool set can provide quick and easy results with deformers such as: twist, shatter, squash and stretch, and more. A quick overview on using deformers in Cinema 4D.
Dynamics & Fracturing
Fracturing in Cinema 4D is a powerful and easy procedural process. Combine with the power of dynamics you can start creating simulations quickly in C4D. We’ll walk through the process of fracturing and using dynamics.
MoGraph Module
Cinema 4D has become the industry standard in motion design, in part, because of the MoGraph Module. This is a toolset that allows for cloning, animating, displacing, and so much more. Procedural motion design at its best. An essential tool set for all motion designers to learn.
Procedural Motion
Let’s make some motion! We’ll do some short projects that explore how we can create animations, without a traditional graph editor. We’ll use the power of MoGraph to bring motion into our 3D scenes.
Modeling & Lighting Techniques
We want you to have a foundation in modeling and lighting. This will allow you to build original concepts in the future. We’ll create scenes using various approaches such as; box modeling, spline modeling, and cloners for modeling. You’ll learn how to model and light objects in Cinema 4D.
Scene Building
You’ll learn how to create a scene using a camera and proper compositional staging. We’ll light our scenes intentionally and create high quality renders with cinematic lighting and depth of field.
Animation & Graph Editor
You can model and light, the next step is animation. You will learn how to animate inside C4D using the graph editor. You’ll learn the use cases for the Dope Sheet vs the F-Curve Editor and how to work quickly. Frame by frame animation in 3D is a great way to make beautiful work.
Rendering & Color Grading
You will learn to render 16 bit image sequences that be can color graded and polished in Adobe After Effects. A final color grade and composite is the last step in the 3D pipeline. You will learn to create beautiful images using Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects.
