{Student Work} Class 01 : Design For A Theme : Eddy Klaus

As we get the ball rolling with our summer semester, we’re staring to see some awesome student work happening!

Today I wanted to share Eddy’s Design For A Theme project. This is the first project for Class 01 students, and it’s starting to be one of my favorites – mainly because they are all so unique. This project gives students the opportunity to explore the process of creating visual imagery within a cohesive visual style.

Eddy chose a topic that probably hits close to home to most of us:

“Nowadays everyone uses smartphones and other digital devices for entertainment, communication etc. Additionally, a lot of people, like motion designers, are working the whole day in front of the computer. As creatives, our goal is to come up with creative solutions for problems, and to create concepts. As good as the internet and technology is, often times we struggle to come up with ideas. The digital world sucks the creativity out of the brain. As a solution, we need to go outside, far away from the computer and remember that our Earth can give us great inspiration and recharge our batteries at the same time. I call this Digitox: a combination of the words digital and detox.”
