We’ve been sharing more student work this past week and the feedback we’ve been getting from people online has been so awesome; awesome for the MM staff, and really awesome for the featured student. Thanks to everyone who supports us over here at Mograph Mentor…you rock!
When I (Paige) was browsing student work in the dropbox, I came across Diego’s Visual Essay. I immediately fell in love with his artistic direction, and the missed connection concept was really unique. It drew me in right from the start which is exactly what this assignment is supposed to do.
The Visual Essay is a 30-45 second short film, that students produce in Class 01, from concept to completion, and the emphasis is on drawing the viewer in and communicating with them.
Here is his visual concept pitch where he explores the art direction.
Big thanks to Diego’s mentor, Darrin Dick, for guiding him throughout this class!
